The Solar Mosquito Zapper does not require power from an electrical source only a few hours of sun! Once the unit fully charged the light will last for 30 hours and the zapper will last for 15 hours! So even if you have a bit of cloud cover the unit will still continue to run for you. The unit will control mosquitoes for you by not only getting rid of the surrounding mosquitoes but also by breaking the population’s breeding cycle over time as well.
The Solar Mosquito Zapper works by luring mosquitoes from the surrounding area (up to a quarter of an acre) with it’s ‘High White’ LED globe. Once the mosquitoes are drawn in by the light the zapper kills the mosquito and drops it into the catcher underneath. The catcher underneath just needs to be emptied when full. You will notice, to begin with, the catcher will fill up quickly, over time the frequency will lessen as the breeding cycle of the mosquito population is broken. This is the perfect mozzie killer for your backyard.
The Solar Mosquito Killer can be placed anywhere, it just requires a little bit of sun to charge. The unit is equipped with a carry handle that can be used to hang the unit in a courtyard or wherever you require. It also comes with a stake that can be fitted to it for ease of use outdoors, that so you can just stake it into the ground where ever you require it.

These mozzie/insect zappers work well. They don’t get much use now as the application of Biting Midge & Mosquito Barrier spray has worked a treat outside, but it’s nice to know these are an added later of protection in our house. They only thing I didn’t realise is they aren’t usb rechargeable and couldn’t get wet, so having to solar charge them and ensure they stay dry in our Melb weather is a bit annoying. Otherwise they work well.

Solar mosquito zapper works extremely well. We placed it in the garden at the entrance of our outdoor area after it was charged up and turned on it snaps up any unwanted bugs and they drop in to the tray which is easily empted. It is noiseless. Great product. NB
This product is only on guard at night as it is a solar light, but early evening we place a cloth over the solar panel to turn it on to get those early mozzies..

Maybe a little early to tell, but I think these things are working ok. I put one in the back garden and one in the front a few weeks ago and I’ve hardly seen any around the house (1-2), definitely sleeping better at night as a result. They also make good little lamps at night..: So, fingers crossed! Other than that, delivery was quick. Thanks Pestrol 🙂

Have placed these in the garden where AC power is not within reach. Seems effective for boosting additional coverage, especially in conjunction with an electrically powered mosquito trap (e.g. Mozzie Free Premium Mosquito Trap). More moths than mozzies caught
