Big Snappy Bug Catcher
Big Snappy Bug Catcher is the older brother to the Snapy (Yes we know it should have another “P” but this is what our friends in Europe have called it) Insect Catcher. Whilst we love the smaller version, we do live in Australia and we all know that the insects here are much bigger and scarier.
Remove Insects from your house:
- Catch live insects and spiders to release them into nature
- No-touch required – hygienic removal of insects and spiders
- The telescopic handle allows a safer distance from the target and magnifying glass to inspect the catch before releasing outside.
By the way, insects are fascinating creatures, but often from a distance. Just in case, if you are called upon to be the emergency extraction person, but secretly have fear yourself, this product is exactly what you need to keep everyone calm.
How it works
It can catch a number of different species of insects including spiders, beetles, hornets, moths, small geckos, mosquitoes, cockroaches, flies, bees and bumblebees. You can catch them by carefully placing the hood over the insect and closing the bottom of the hood by using the slider placed at the handle of the gadget. The telescopic handle allows you to reach insects sitting high up on the walls by extending the device to a length of up to 51 cm.
Pestrol has been selling humane DIY pest control products for over 20 years.
Below is the size difference between the 2 versions: Big Snappy on the left – Small Snapy on the right.

Excellent product. I feel safer using this. I don’t need to spray the crawlies anymore, just scoop them up into the catcher and let them go. Good outcome all round .

This is the best! I’m super arachnophobic, but I don’t want to kill the poor little buggers (even the big ones!). I can get close enough and calmly enough with the Big Snappy because I know it works and will contain the spider safely, unlike a broom etc which I always freak out over, thinking the spider will run up the broom onto my hand. I can see the critter tucked inside the clear box at the end, and also it helps me to feel brave enough to have a closer look at it through the handy magnifier on the window.
It really is an awesome tool and highly recommend it.
