Bed Bug Treatment in a can
Bed Bug Treatment in a Can controls bed bugs in domestic and commercial premises such as hotels, motels and other sleeping areas.
The Bed Bug Treatment Spray controls strains of bed bugs resistant to the synthetic pyrethroids and carbamates. It is chemically stable and high temperatures will not degrade it. The Bed Bug Treatment works by physical contact with the bed bugs causing desiccation and death. The treatments will remain effective while they remain dry and uncontaminated with other materials such as dust and debris.
DIRECTIONS FOR USE
DOMESTIC AND INSTITUTIONAL PREMISES, MOTELS, HOTELS AND OTHER SLEEPING AREAS
The Aerosol Diatomaceous Earth powder or bed bug treatment can be easily applied to cracks and crevices as well as carpets, mattresses, storage cupboards and much, much more.
Hold the can about 2-metres from the surface in a slow-moving arc stopping at the end. Spot spraying for small bursts of 1 second will be enough to deposit a small amount in the required area.
Applied correctly there should be no marks or visible residue.
It can be used on soft furnishings, leaves no mess and is safe for animals and humans as it is food grade standard, having less than 0.1% crystalline content.
Coverage: approximately 2000sq per can depending on application rate.
One can of bed bug treatment is enough for a flat or small house.
Apply the bed bug treatment powder to cracks and crevices underneath edges of your carpet, power points, wall sockets, behind skirting boards, in wall voids and other areas known to harbour bed bugs and in bed bug barrier devices. When applying to power points ensure that your electricity is turned off at the mains power.
It is recommended to cover all bed bases and mattresses with a bed bug proof mattress protector.
Remember to clean the nozzle after each use by holding the can upside down and pressing the nozzle until it stops spraying product out.
Caution:
Food grade DE is safe for humans and animals, however, it is always preferable to avoid inhaling dust, so for extra precaution use a face mask and safety goggles in enclosed spaces.
Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth is a product that is GRAS (generally accepted as safe) listed.
A word of CAUTION: Do not confuse natural silica or food-grade Diatomaceous Earth with industrial-grade DE which may contain crystalline silica. Crystalline silica is dangerous to inhale and must not be consumed by humans, animals, or used on gardens and agricultural crops. Recent news reports have highlighted the dangers of “silica” – this is referring to crystalline silica which comes from building products when cut or abraded and NOT natural amorphous silica.
Our food grade Diatomaceous Earth is regularly tested by registered labs which confirm it contains an undetectable amount (less than 1%) of crystalline silica. This product is regarded as safe by the USFDA.

Food Grade Diatomaceous Earth Benefits
DIATOMACEOUS EARTH FOOD GRADE FOR HUMAN USE
Diatomaceous earth is a siliceous sedimentary rock composed of the remains of aquatic organisms known as diatoms. DE powder & granules which are produced by grinding these rocks offers a host of benefits. In its natural state, it is an abundant source of Silica and rich in essential minerals. These are the most common materials on the planet required by all living things. Silica is the most fundamental part of all cells and organisms so it has a significant benefit. It is an essential component for making muscles, ligaments, cartilage, digestive tract, skin, hair and nails healthy and happy.
BENEFITS FOR YOUR PETS USING OUR BED BUG SPRAY
Fleas are blood-sucking parasites that live outside, in our homes, and on our pets. The good thing, though, is that fleas hate the diatomaceous earth. Because it’s natural and safe, it is the perfect option to treat your pets for fleas.
DE is also a natural alternative for worming your pets. It improves their health as well in the same way it does for humans
PEST CONTROL BENEFITS
Diatomaceous earth (DE) is a natural pest control that is great to use around your home because it’s natural making it the perfect option to treat your house for many types of insects that invade. Some of the pests DE can help control are ants, carpet beetles, bed bugs, weevils, cockroaches and any crawling insects that can cause problems.
BENEFITS IN THE GARDEN
Diatomaceous Earth is tiny plant fossils that nick the bodies of insects and absorb the waxy moisture that their bodies are made of inevitably causing them to dehydrate. Due to the methodology of this organic insecticide pests can never become immune to its effects. Some of the garden pests DE is effective against are:
Aphids, Mites, Thrips, Ants, Slugs, Snails, Queensland Fruit Flies, Cucumber Beetles and many others.
Rodents like rats, moles, mice, and rabbits often do great damage to your garden, but if your sentiments don’t allow trapping them or eliminating them, one option is to discourage their visits. They are known to have an aversion to citrus and peppermint smells, so you can use small containers of diatomaceous earth with a few drops of the essential oil of lemon or peppermint as deterrents. This highly porous substance is better than cotton balls in both absorbing the oil and retaining the smell for longer periods.
Diatomaceous earth is often used as a medium for growing plants, usually in conjunction with other substances. Although it doesn’t have much to offer by way of nutrition, it contains less than 0.1% crystalline silica and provides nutrients to the soil such as magnesium; calcium; sodium; phosphorus; potassium; and selenium. It also has the capacity to hold fertilizers and then release it to the roots. That, as well as the porosity, makes it a good growing medium for hydroponic containers and Bonsai culture. Mix it with potting soil to increase drainage and air circulation in the root zone. Whether it is industrial farming or small-scale gardening our DE offers cultivators many advantages.
BENEFITS IN THE HOME
One of the great strengths of Diatomaceous Earth is its absorbent, porous structure. The porous structure of DE allows it to absorb unwanted odours. By simply placing a small, open container of diatomaceous earth in the vicinity of a bad smell, you can both deodorize and prevent the smell from returning. This is useful for carpets, cupboards, rubbish bins, shoes and pet smell. Adding a few drops of essential oil will add a pleasant scent as well.
Because DE can absorb up to twice its weight, this feature makes it an ideal stain remover. Liquid stains like oil, grease, or soda are often a bigger problem than a paper towel. Diatomaceous earth uses its porous diatoms to soak up messy spills without a hitch.
Ants are the most common insect to contend within the home. Dust likely ant entryways to ensure ants are exposed to the DE. Bed bugs are the plague in the bug world, just using diatomaceous earth alone will not get rid of them. It’s best to use a combination of intense cleaning, de-cluttering, and DE application.
You can add DE to grains, legumes, beans, rice, corn and other foods to prevent clumping, germinating, or moulding. It also works as a natural pesticide to protect against beetles and weevils.

I used this to spray down the perimeter of a bed bug infested room, around the feet of the bed, the ends of the wardrobe hanging pole, the edges of the edges of the bed base & bed head whilst traveling in Thailand. I’ve been to this resort before & knew in advance that all the rooms are infested. I have a severe bed bug allergy that causes oozing, pussy, crater like sores that can only be treated with high doses of oral cortisone (pregnizone) so I didn’t want to take any chances. I also used an encasement mattress cover, and natural bed bug & lice exterminator spray & 40%deet tropical strength insect repellent. Because I used an onslaught of various products I can’t be sure that this product was effective but am certain that my room was infested & I was only eaten by the odd bed bug on days when housekeeping changed my sheets whereby I resprayed with the exterminator around the mattress and bed base.
